On the Far Side Of Complexity Lies a Profound Simplicity (or, "This Doesn't Have To Be An 'Uber' Post") :)

That refrain (the one about complexity and simplicity) was repeated over and over again at last weekend's conference. And as I contemplated the blogging that I owed my buddy Chris Field (yes, he won the bet- it wasn't even close! lol) I was tending to make the whole thing far too complicated. Yes, I hadn't blogged even one time this entire year, and yes, I wanted my blog to be impactful and honest and entertaining, and yes, I wanted to make good on my bet. The way to make all those things happen was, as it turns out, profoundly simple: just...type...something. To use the parlance of the effervescent Landon Saunders, it doesn't have to be "uber", it doesn't have to be a perfect post, it doesn't have to be impressive, it just has to be. So, I'm back, I think, no promises, just a post.

So here's how it went down. I bet Chris Field that the Fightin' Texas Aggies would drop 70 on Montana State last Saturday. And although we won the game and showed some flashes of brilliance we only managed 38. Nothing primes you for poetry like losing a bet! (Warning- this is a freestyle)| |

My hotel room was our venue of choice, Dave's voice could be heard though the Mac,
Me and Josh had to watch the Game Page refresh and expected our Boys' best Attack.

Instead bad guys shred our defense once more, I was sore just hearing about it,
After MSU scored, I wasn't quite bored, but for a second I admit that I doubted.

Our defense found wings and our offense found holes and at the end we could boast 1 and o,
But we need to improve, find our pass and "D" groove, cause we still have 11 to go.

So Chris is the man, a sage, Nostradamus, I humbly admit the defeat,
But despite the turnout, I think I shook burnout, last weekend was really a treat!

5. Travis Stanley is way sexier in person! (and I count you as a true friend man-dude is a solid

6. The Aggies will win the Big XII Championship.
7. There are people that can soften our perspective on Miss South Carolina's unfortunate
mishap.
8. The world is hot and I'm still vegan. :)
9. My momma is doing GREAT! Praise God!
